K-9 Unit Presentation

On Friday, February 9, 2018, Officer Natoli and Frankie from the Cortland County Sherriff’s Department visited our third graders to make a presentation about the K-9 Unit. This demonstration followed a story from our Journeys Reading Series, Aero and Officer Mike, which was a non-fiction story about the duties and significance of a K-9 unit. Officer Natoli was able to share information about her professional training and even the equipment that she uses daily to prepare Frankie for his assignments. She answered many thoughtful questions asked by the third graders and provided specific details which were very beneficial to them. We are super thankful for Officer Natoli and Frankie taking time out of their busy schedule to come and visit us!
