Quebec Trip

During the long weekend of March 1st through the 4th, the students in Foreign Language Club, along with some parent travelers and teachers, had the amazing opportunity to travel to Québec City. On this trip, students and adults engaged in the traditions and rich culture of the Québécois. Some activities they participated in include a river boat ferry ride across the semi-frozen St. Lawrence river, toboggan rides on the Terasse Dufferin, guided tours of the old city, dog sledding, shopping at many local boutiques, and snow tubing at the Village Valcartier.  Of course, everyone also had the pleasure of eating at various restaurants and cafés like Spag&Tini, Bistro 1640, La Maison Smith, and Au Petit Coin Breton. While most of the local people we encountered spoke French and English, the students actively practiced their French without being asked. Even though they were only in Québec for four short days, the experiences that the students had were unforgettable. This trip to Québec city is just another way that McGraw students are exposed to new and different people and places.
