Summer Ocean Studies

During summer school Mrs. Brooks' class studied the ocean. Mrs. Cornell provided the students with plenty of books to use to research the sea animal of their choice. Students answered questions and watched short educational videos about their animals. Then students used keyboarding skills to type up some facts about their animal. Finally, we painted a mural and made blue Jell-O to represent the ocean. We even added gummy fish!  We had a great time reading and writing about our animals while strengthening our reading and writing strategies too.
