Author Visits Elementary School

 
Author and illustrator, Daniel Miller visited our elementary school this fall.  Students in grades Pre-K to 5 attended his presentations.  Daniel knew at a very young age that he wanted to be a writer and to illustrate his own books.  Using exciting, and often humorous visuals, Daniel lead students through the timeline of his career.  The author/illustrator began his career as a cartoon writer in New York City.  He then moved on to creating and publishing his “Monsters in Manhattan” book series and now lives in Binghamton.  At this time there are two published in the series, with two more coming in the near future.  Daniel explained that he is now enjoying the best part of his career:  visiting schools.  At the end of his presentations, he invited students to ask questions.  The students were as excited to ask the questions as Daniel was to answer them.  We truly enjoyed his visit and his many books.  If you’d like more information, please visit his website at djudemiller.com
