First Grade Scientists

First graders are scientists!  We have been studying polar bears in class and have learned many different polar bear facts.  To expand on our knowledge of blubber, the classes followed the scientific method to find out if blubber keeps you warm.  All we needed was Crisco, snow and some gallon bags.  The students had a great time.  Our conclusion??  Blubber definitely keeps you warm!
