Colonial America in Grade 4

 
In fourth grade ELA and Social Studies, the students have traveled back in time to early Colonial America. The students have learned about each colony’s economy, resources, and people through various texts and videos. They created help wanted ads for each colonial trade. The students had a great time making the ads, especially when it came to making the papers look old. After applying for their colonial jobs, they completed research projects, created artifacts related to their jobs, and presented their work to the class. The students enjoyed bringing history alive.
