Free Breakfast & Lunch for all McGraw Students
All students attending McGraw Central School District will be given a free breakfast and lunch, regardless of income in the 2019-2020 school year.
The School District applied for the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) through the New York State Department of Education Child Nutrition Program and were pleased to find out they were accepted.
Every student will automatically be eligible for the free meals, and there is no application that any family needs to complete.
McGraw Superintendent, Melinda McCool, with the support of the Board of Education wants to ease the burden on the families of the community. This program can save families over $600 per child per year if they take advantage of both the free breakfast and lunch each day.
In addition, the school district has purchased school supplies for students in the elementary school. No school supply lists will be going home. Teachers will have those necessary items in their classrooms for the students on the first day of school. Backpacks and personal items are the only items that families will need to provide for school.
Melinda McCool states, “The McGraw Community is extremely supportive of the school district. The District Leadership believes in searching out programs and support to ensure that all of the children are on a level playing field. As a small rural school, McGraw is always looking for new opportunities to provide the best possible school experience for our children.”
