Lindsay Burress was born and raised in Frankfort, NY. Aftrer graduating from high school Ms. Burress attended the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam where she earned her Bachelors of Music Education (with a clarinet concentration) and Masters of Music Education degrees. Before coming to McGraw where she teaches 6-12 Concert Band, instrumental lessons and Jazz Band, Ms. Burress taught at Utica City Schools for one year and Cazenovia Central Schools for three years. While at Cazenovia Ms. Burress taught middle and high school bands, the High School Jazz Ensemble, instrumental lessons, 6th Grade Chorus and various general music classes. In addition to teaching Instrumental Music at McGraw Central Schools, Ms. Burress is a private lesson teacher and a member of the Central Winds Music Educator’s Wind Ensemble as well as the Silverwood Clarinet Choir. In her free time Ms. Burress enjoys spending time with her puppy, Frasier Sam and baking cupcakes! Ms. Burress couldn't be more excited to be apart of the team at McGraw!
