Welcome Ms. Swisher

Welcome Ms. Emily Swisher as the High School Nurse.  She is originally from McGraw, but moved to Homer in 9th grade. She now resides in the outskirts of Homer. She attended OCM BOCES LPN program for her licensure.  Ms. Swisher says, “I was a High School/ Float Nurse for Homer Central School prior to me joining the eagle convocation and I am so happy to be here!”

Ms. Swisher's family includes a 2 year old daughter named Adeline Grace, and her best friend, their Golden Retriever, Tucker.  “Adeline’s father are I have been together since I was 15 years old; celebrating 14 years together this year!,” she says.  Ms. Swisher spends her free time doing whatever her daughter wants to do!  They love to be outside and go camping any chance they get.

Ms. Swisher adds, “I have a long standing history in McGraw.  My grandfather was the principal of McGraw Elementary many years ago.  Both of my parents and brother are graduates of McGraw and my parents coached (mom worked as well) for McGraw Schools.  It's a town that you can never really escape.  While I was in Nursing School I worked at the Lamont Memorial Library here in McGraw.  I also pictured I would live in my family home and raise my children here and while history doesn't always repeat itself my love for this great community has never waivered.”
