Welcome Ms. Burress

Welcome Ms. Lindsay Burress as the Middle School/High School Instrumental Music Teacher.  She graduated from the Crane School of Music with a Bachelors in Music Education with a concentration in clarinet in 2014 and a Masters in Music Education in 2015.  Ms. Burress taught  K-6 General Music and Choir at Utica City Schools and then taught 5th Grade Band, 6th Grade Band, High School Jazz Ensemble, High School Concert Band, 6th Grade Chorus, Instrumental Lessons and a few grades of General Music at Cazenovia Central Schools for three years.

Ms. Burress hails from Frankfort, NY, where she grew up with her mom and dad.  She has a two year old puppy named Frasier Sam.  Ms. Burress says most of her hobbies have to do with music, “I'm a member of the Central Winds Music Educator's Wind Ensemble and the Silverwood Clarinet Choir so in my free time during the school year you can typically find me in a rehearsal or a concert for one of these groups.”  She also really enjoys baking cupcakes, especially trying new recipes!

Ms. Burress is excited to join the McGraw team.  “Running an instrumental music program has always been my dream and I am extremely thankful and fortunate that McGraw has given me this incredible opportunity!  I welcome all students, regardless of age, to check out the band program and consider joining us in making music and having fun!”
