Welcome Mrs. Dunham

Welcome Mrs. Sherri Dunham as a teacher aide at the Elementary School, working in Kindergarten.  She was born in Cortland, but grew up in the Truxton area attending school in Truxton and Homer. She graduated from Homer High in 1982.  Mrs. Dunham says, “I worked from home raising my girls and had a registered daycare for 17 years.  Then I moved on to CAPCO Head Start/ Early Head Start.  I worked with the older children for 15 years then moved to EHS for the last 2 years.  This is where I took some college courses.  I have a CDA in early childhood,  I’m MAT trained, First Aid and CPR trained.  During my career at Head Start I had the opportunity to work in McGraw Elementary School for many years and loved it!!!  Now I’m back!”

She has a big combined family of 7 children (including her husband Greg’s children). She has 9 grandchildren; the oldest is 17 and the youngest is 4 months.  She has 3 brothers and a wonderful mom still in the area.

Mrs. Dunham enjoys walking, playing softball and corn hole, reading, the great outdoors, spending time with family and friends, summertime, traveling, and much more.  She says, “I’m not very interesting but I love children!!!  I’m going to enjoy being back in McGraw so very much!!  Looking forward to making many new memories here.”
