RADD Response

 
Mrs. Frink’s and Mrs. Leach’s 5th grade class has started the year off great!  In ELA, we have been focusing on the strategies of close reading, finding the main idea and writing RADD (Restate, Answer, Detail, Detail) responses.  For close reading the students annotate the text with underlining and pictures.  For the main idea the students have pretended to make pizzas and played main idea basketball.  The RADD response is used to write short responses based on the text read.  We look forward to an amazing year of reading and writing!
