Geography News

 
Fifth grade geography is way more fun when it comes alive!  The students in Mrs. Frink and Mrs. Leach’s class have been exploring geography around the world.  We have learned about landforms, the oceans, continents, longitude and latitude, and map skills.  This year, exploring continents was a little more interesting because one of our classmates is from Ukraine!  As a class, it was exciting to explore his native land via Google Maps. 

We also used all our newly acquired map skills to go Geocaching.  Our class worked together to find 3 different caches in McGraw alone!  We were privileged enough to have Ms. Rieck join us on one of our adventures.  If you are interested in Geocaching, just download the app and start searching.
