Grade 3 Learns about Mexico

 
Students in third grade just finished a unit about Mexico.  This included studying the culture.  Students studied the flag, tried guacamole, shook maracas, saw Mexican blankets and sombreros, and learned a little Spanish. Third graders talked about similarities and differences as they started their study of the United States.  They finished the unit by learning the Mexican Hat Dance.  They had a dance off as shown in the attached pictures.  A good time was had by all.
