Lindsay Palmer (Burress) was born and raised in Frankfort, NY.  After graduating from 
high school Mrs. Palmer attended the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam where she earned her Bachelors of Music Education (with a clarinet concentration) and Masters of Music Education degrees.  Mrs. Palmer holds a NYS Professional Certification in K-12 Music and is now in her ninth year of teaching.  This is her fifth year here at McGraw High School where she teaches Junior High Band, Senior High Band, instrumental lessons, High School Music Theory and Bucket Drumming.  She also directs the McGraw Jazz Band, the McGraw Parade Band and co-directs the annual McGraw Spring Musical.  Before coming to McGraw, Mrs. Palmer taught K-6 General Music and Chorus at Utica City Schools for one year and various bands and general music classes at Cazenovia Central Schools for three years.  Outside of school Mrs. Palmer is a private lesson teacher and is the Cortland County Music Teachers Association chair person for the Jr. and Sr. High All-County Band Clinics.  She is also a clarinetist and the Personnel Manager for the Central Winds Music Educator’s Wind Ensemble, a professional performing group that gives her the opportunity to present, perform and learn from other educators all over the country.  In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling with her husband and being a dog mom to her field spaniel, Frasier Sam.  Mrs. Palmer absolutely loves being apart of this team in McGraw and is looking forward to another year of music making!
