McGraw Central School District is conveniently located in Cortland County between Syracuse and Binghamton. The district has two academic buildings and houses approximately 575 students.  Pre-Kindergarten – Grade 5 are situated in the elementary building and Grades 6-12 are in the MS/HS building. In addition, the district maintains its own transportation department and bus fleet.
 


NYS Birth-Grade 6 Literacy Certified Teacher will be  responsible for all aspects of literacy instruction  including but not limited to the development and implementation of Next Generation Learning Standards/Curriculum, instruction, assessment, student supervision, home/school communication, etc. Serve as collegial team member in a dynamic PK-5 educational setting.  Participate in Child Study Teams to review student data for the purpose of providing interventions strategies to struggling learners. Maintain student records consistent with State and Federal regulations. Perform other duties as required.

New York State Certification in Students with Disabilities (SWD)  Responsible for all aspects of teaching including but not limited to the development and implementation of Next Generation Learning Standards/Curriculum, instruction, NYS alternative assessment, student supervision, home/school communication, etc. Serve as collegial team member in a dynamic 6-12 educational setting. Provide instruction and habilitation (daily living skills) to Jr/Sr. chronological age-range students with severe multiple disabilities including intellectual, language and physical disabilities. Maintain student records consistent with State and Federal regulations. Perform other duties as required.
