Hello!  My name is Kathy Laffoon and I am the School Counselor for grades PK-6 at McGraw.  I am a graduate of Alfred University where I obtained my Masters of Science in Education and Certificate of Advanced Study in 2009.  I currently hold a Provisional School Counseling Certificate for grades Pre K- 12.   This is my third year in McGraw Central School District.  My previous experience was working with at risk youth at the William George Agency.  I worked with both children and families to provide counseling.  I also worked as the Assistant Director of Admissions.

Typical topics I work with are:

School work challenges
Being teased
Making new friends
Sharing feelings
Change or Loss
Friendship problems
Help to make good choices
Self esteem
Transition to Middle School

I provide individual and small group counseling for students grades PK-6.

I welcome phone calls and emails from parents if there are any concerns regarding your student.
I can be reached at 607-836-3654 or by email at klaffoon@mcgrawchools.org.

Thank you!
