Classroom Frog

 
Thanks to Haleigh Eaton and Mr. Brown, Mrs. DiFulvio's classroom has a terrarium and tree frog.  Students are constantly dropping by to try and catch a glimpse of our elusive new friend.  Observing and caring for an animal instills a sense of responsibility and respect for life.  Classroom pets can help develop empathy and increased awareness of the needs and feelings of others.  Studies have also shown that the presence of animals tends to lessen tension in the classroom.  We are all thrilled to have Ivy here and the benefit she will bring all of us.
