Science 7 students hid camouflaged butterflies around the room. After some time to forget about them, students were asked to search around the room and see how many they could spot. On average, students could only find 14 out of 20 butterflies. This was to demonstrate natural selection, showing that butterflies with better adaptations such as camouflage may be more likely to hide from a predator, survive, and reproduce. However, this also demonstrated that there are no guarantees, and every predator is different.
