Mrs. Hughes Physical Education

My name is Taylor Hughes.  A few small facts about me... I am married, expecting my first child, and have the cutest golden doodle dog in the world.

Bachelor of Science in Education: Physical Education
@ SUNY Cortland

Masters Degree in Health Education
@ SUNY Cortland

Taught down in Prince George's County in Maryland at Imagine Foundations at Morningside School for 1 year
Then moved back to the area and have been teaching in McGraw since 2013

I have coached modified and JV (currently) soccer, modified and Varsity basketball, and modified softball.

We focus on various sports throughout the year as well as the fitness components (musclar strength, muscluar endurance, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, and agility).
Ask your child what our "Monthly Challenge" is and try to compete with them!  It is a great way to stay active, increase your abilities, and bond with your child.

"Physical Education is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity." - John F. Kennedy
