In the art room, the 4th graders are doing SO many cool things! Alice and Aria are making pictures on scratch boards. It is scratching away black stuff to make a picture. Grady, Parker, and Jahzelle are building castles and airplanes! How cool is that?

The 6th graders are making pottery! Today, they were painting and glazing their clay stuff. It looked really neat!

We even got to talk to Ms. McCrone the art teacher. She told us about all the stuff happening in the art room. The 4th graders are building things in 3D. That means they're not flat! The 6th graders are learning how to glaze their pottery. This is making it shiny and colorful.

We also learned they're using colored pencils to learn how to draw, blend colors, and make things look shaded. And they're using watercolor paint to learn how artists do it!

We asked Ms. McCrone why she became an art teacher. She said, I love art and I love working with kids! I like seeing them learn new things and harnessing it. I like seeing the finished projects they worked hard on. That's awesome!
